Aida Daily Planner (“Aida,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Aida Daily Planner iOS application.

Information We Collect

Aida is designed with privacy at its core. We minimize data collection and process information on your device whenever possible.

Data You Provide

  • Actions and Projects: The actions, projects, time blocks, and notes you create within Aida are stored locally on your device.
  • Calendar Data: Aida accesses your device calendar (with your permission) to display events alongside your actions. Calendar data is read directly from your device and is not transmitted to any external server.

On-Device Processing

Aida processes your planning data on your device whenever possible. No text, action data, or personal information is sent to external servers for action handling.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your actions, projects, time blocks, and related metadata are synced across your devices using Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple. We do not have access to your iCloud data. You may disable iCloud sync at any time to keep all data stored locally.

Information We Do Not Collect

Aida does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
  • Location data
  • Usage analytics or tracking data
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Any data to third-party servers

Third-Party Services

Apple Services

Aida integrates with Apple’s services, which are subject to Apple’s own privacy policies:

  • EventKit: Used to read calendar events from your device. Requires your explicit permission.
  • CloudKit: Used for optional iCloud sync. Data is managed under your Apple ID and Apple’s privacy terms.
  • In-App Purchases: Used to provide optional Aida Pro subscriptions through Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored locally on your device using an encrypted SQLite database. If iCloud sync is enabled, data is additionally stored in your personal iCloud account, encrypted by Apple. We do not operate any external servers that store your personal data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since your data is stored on your device and optionally in your iCloud account, you have full control over it. You can delete individual actions, projects, or all data at any time by uninstalling the app. If you use iCloud sync, you can manage your data through your iCloud settings.

Children’s Privacy

Aida is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since Aida does not collect personal information from any users, there is no children’s data to manage.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
